Thermotron -Senior field service engineer at his best

thermotron calibrations

Thermotron calibrations are a tricky process, the 2 main types of calibrations are as follows:

1. find the zero potentiometer on the temepture controller
(which is different than the "span" potentiometer )

1a. adjust the small set screw with your (LITTLE) screw driver not your (BIG) WRENCH.

adjust it until the value is the same as the ISD source calibration signal.

2. Find the zero potentiometer of the "chart recorder" and adjust the setting to match the value in the little display window of the tempture controller. Note. make sure u are looking at the "feedback" value and NOT the SETPOINT value.

GooD JOb this procedure should have taken about 1 to 2 hours.. to verify the range value put in a second (SETPOINT) value and wait until the chamber tempeature reaches that value.. and then go to PAGE 36 and follow that PROCEDURE # 18 thru 32.

Then watch the following video.. and compare the 2 procedures..

then take the customer to lunch at a restrant that he really wanted to go to (but couldn't afford)

and have a nice day!!!
