How convenient is the latest trend among Christians reported by pollster and writer George Barna. Reports are that many are now giving up not only faith in Christ as the one and only way but the belief in a literal satanic personality the Bible refers to as the ‘god of this world.’ Just in time for the big push toward Armageddon and acceptance of every backward trend civilization can conger.



In America we have grown tired of our prophets and we set aside their warnings that no amount of tinkering with the market, the economy or health care concerns can offset the damage that is being done by America’s obsession with sex, pop culture and interests that can only be driven by the oncoming spirit of anti-christ.

No nation in history ever fell into conflict with God over its economy, it was always their morality. The two are inextricably linked but that may be deeper prophetic utterance than most can bear.



The prophet Jeremiah warned the ancient Israelites for an entire generation that their idolatry, prurient interests and preoccupation with material things would be their demise. In one of his final warnings to them as a few of them tried to escape from the Babylonian (Iraq) King Nebuchadnezzar they protested his prophecies with the retort that they had it pretty good while they were doing all the things Jeremiah said they shouldn’t be doing. They actually could not believe that God would take away all their goodies for what they were doing but associated their behavior with their former economic good fortunate.

The very end of their nationhood was dismissed as some sort of bad luck, poor planning, relentless enemies or economic misfortune. Sound familiar?

Thermotron will be the Employer Of The Day Nov. 29 at the Ottawa County Michigan Works! service center, 121 Clover St. in Holland.

The event will last from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Candidates are asked to bring an updated resume. Applicants are welcome to use the computer equipment at the Ottawa County Michigan Works! service center to create/update their resume, and print hard copies as necessary.





Thermotron is looking to hire about 11 people will have at least two human resources representatives ready to interview interested candidates.

The Holland-based company manufactures environmental test chambers and equipment. Open positions at Thermotron include: marketing support, mechanical engineer, welder, brake press operator, cabinet assemblers, shipping, refrigeration, assembler, and entry-level assembly. Wages for these positions range between $9 - $11 per hour.

Oh Yippee a chance to work for $9-11/hour. Let's do some math:

If this person works 40 hours/week for 11/hour, he will gross 22,880 annually. He'll probably net about 18,500/year or about 1550/month. That number assumes 100% employer-paid healthcare which we all KNOW is not gonna happen. Let's look at some very minimal expenses:

100 gas for the car
100 car insurance
150 utilities
750 rent/mortgage
300 groceries

Wow. That leaves him a total of$150 extra each month (maybe). But we certainly don't need anything like a law mandating a living wage do we? After all, we wouldn't want those 'job creators' over at Thermotron to go somewhere else.

Yup, a job like the one above will guarantee you a life of abject poverty.

Well i certainly have seen a lot of tricks in how to work the system in this chamber business..

now the kid i worked with in california .. robbed and embezzled about 50 thousand dollars.. he had ...

.he started his carreed by being the neighbor hood thief and bugler..


he showed me all the housed he robbed when we were in Pasandia visiting his mother.

But Enseco Fired him within 6 months.. for robbery.. embezzelment etc..

it may seem high ..but after Rouloff's conspired to defraud and removed the salesman bo bjarno..

This Fred was assembled by the special effects experts at 'The Character Shop' who does many high tech animatronic special effects for commercials and movies.

Rick Lazzarini says. . . Most of the movements were radio controlled: Head turn, torso turn, jaw, eyes side/side, blinks, and brow moves. These moves were split up among two transmitters and puppeteers. A third person operated the cable-controlled body up/down, and a fourth did arm/hand movements via rod control.

So, thank you for producing such a high quality product, and being so quick and helpful. I now have my own pro style vent figure! (Don't worry, I didn't re-sell the modified figure to them; I own it.)

I was a manager for Just Brakes for nine months, I was recently fired for not making enough money on each ticket that I sold. Basicaly it boils down to money. Thats what Just Brakes realy cares about. They are not interested in repairing a customers car, all they care about is how much money they can get each customer to spend. They tell you to sell hydrolic parts on every ticket even if they are not needed. They sell you parts that are the cheapest parts that they can find, and tell you that they are dealer quality. I was told by my training manager to take apart hydrolic components until you find a problem. If there is no problem sell the parts anyway. They even have competitions to see who can sell the most hydrolic repairs. I got into trouble for telling customers that they did not need any repairs made to their vehicles".

I have been a technician for 15 years, and have never heard of some of the things they tried to tell me to sell to customers/. Binding calipers no such thing, its the hardware that causes uneaven wear of the pads!. They threaten to fire you if you don't sell more than 99|.88 on every car that comes in the shop'.

They are the biggest rip off artists that I have ever seen;. The managers are told to look for things like car seats, or family pictures so that they can scare you into buying services;. They mention your kids and spouse riding in the car with unsafe brakes just to scare you into paying for things that you don't realy need:. They even have what they call the phone track, which everyone must memorize before the can even be considered for a management position. Everyone who answers the phone must know it, because you are not allowed to say anything over the phone that is not on the phone track. They even call from corporate office posing as customers to make sure you are going by the phone track. They take people off the streets who know nothing about working on cars to be the managers. They do this so that they can tell these people that they are realy selling customers things they need. However they are just lying to boost sales.

So take it from me, a former store manager who was fired for not being a good enough sales man, don't go to just brakes because they will rip you off. They even pay the service managers to sit inside the office and talk to the customers just to try and make friends with them, because this gains the customers trust and makes them more willing to spend money. All of the training that I recieved from Just Brakes involved selling eveything that you can to every customer that comes into the store even if they don't need any repairs at all. They also instruct managers to sell the repairs on a customers vehicle and then pull that car out and pull the next one in so that it can be sold before any work is started on any vehicles. "At Just Brakes We Realy Do Care!" but only about making money, as for the customer Just Brakes couldn't care less! 12ac768

I needed front pads. Just brakes quoted me at 1300.00!!! I told them I would not pay that. They negotiated with me until they got the price down to 400.00!!! I laughed in their face and told them to put my truck back together. I took it to a mechanic referred by a co-worker. He fixed my brakes for 130.00!!! I will tell everyone I know in every form of communication I can what a true scam this 'company' is.

HI, I am in a precarious situation. I dropped off my car recently at Just Brakes and am now concerned about going through with the service. They machined the rotors and I am thinking about going through with the pads ONLY--do you think pads are ok? Will they damage my car? Should, or could, I just pay for the cost of machined rotors and go somewhere else with my old pads?

I too use to work for Just Brakes, I am a former employee, One thing that I can tell you is they ( like any company ) want to make money. They know how to fix cars. Yes do they make suggestions on how to fix the car absolutly. but the decision is ultimatly the customers.



O and to the duche bag from ASE. You can rebuild a caliper and save the customer money, you dont have to just replace it. In my opion just brakes does quality repair at an affordable price. just brakes can do all four wheels, rebuild all four calipers, replace hardware, and bleed the system for less then some places will replace pads for.



Look you cant please every one but in my time there I made a lot of lifetime customers. I feel sorry for any one who has a bad tast in there mouth.

I agree with article written. I was employeed with Just Brakes, and they are the most unethical company I have ever been associated with. They also have a double set of standards. I witnessed a customer being quoted over $600.00 for repairs, and the customer declined and wanted the $99.88, they told the customer to take his car and leave. I could not treat customers the way that they wanted you to.

stay away from any repair chains.midas,etc. they all use inferior parts,and only the parts are lifetime,not the labor.find a good independent shop,and there are plenty out there,or listen to all these b.s. wanna be tecs. been doing this,for 27 yrs and heard a lot of horror stories,and repaired a lot of them.and we like to be called mechanics,not tecs!

for Lanny, the most hillarious part of your horrible argument is the fact that you actually compare the test of a single company to the standardized testing of ASE which is a worldwide recognized accredidation. Also arguing the difference in pad thickness is irrelavent considering some pads are designed thicker inboard than outboard, thats almost as bad as arguing someone would need rear shoes because of the difference between a leading and trailing shoe. but i supposed since you are the just brakes expert here you know more than i do with my 20 yrs experience and ASE master tech certification.and the biggest flaw is saying a "caliper needs to be repaired" calipers dont get repaired anymore because it is more cost effective to just replace it. I'm just curious how telling a story about business practice reflects in any way someones technical knowledge of a vehicles brake system.your so quick to take a shot at this guy for informing the public of mistrust that you have exposed all the holes in your logic and obvious lack of technical knowledge or regard for the average consumer.

enjoy working for just brakes and i'll be waiting to see when the next irate customer decides to go postal and do the rest of us a favor by disposing of filth like just brakes employees!

I've heard of the kind of things of that go on at garages, only the second biggest rip-off next to doctor's visit. Anyway, I live in Decatur, Ga and if you live the area, there are some guys located on Jonesboro Rd. at 285, call Auto Tech. They offer good service and the rates are pretty reasonable. They are on the same side as the BP in a blue building.

Someone once said, 'Virtue is its own reward.' That is usually credited to Britain's Sir John Vanbrough who, about 300-years ago, actually wrote, "Virtue is its own reward. There's a pleasure in doing good which sufficiently pays itself."

That's easy enough to understand from a superficial perspective. But over those 300-years we've learned some things about the mind, and how it works.

The mind is the dwelling place of the Devil.

It is speculated that some people have no conscience, meaning that they are perfectly selfish, with no sense of right and wrong. I doubt that is actually ever true, but in any case, such people are very few.

The rest of us, probably the other 99.9%, do have a keenly developed conscience, and are easily able to tell the difference. That doesn't mean we always do the right thing, because another part of being human is fallibility. We do not have it in us to behave in a perfectly virtuous way all the time.

Falling short of that produces the opposite effect described by Vanbrough. It produces bad feelings ... embarrassment, guilt, revulsion, disgust, sorrow, and all the other maggoty emotions that nibble away at our concept of self worth.

The mind never forgets. That's, literally, "the hell of it."

Today's grievous mistake or mean behavior will remain in memory forever, and we will never really forgive it. Over the years, unrelated events and experiences will somehow dredge it up, enabling us to relive all those awful self-abasing feelings all over again, and refreshing that loathsome imagery.

So it would appear that there is indeed a "Satan," and that devastating evil dwells between our ears, existing as an inexorable mind function.

Joy is not generally available to persons who do not like themselves very much. Unfortunately, virtue never promotes one's feelings of self-worth as readily as vice erodes it. Thus, virtue is indeed its own reward, but only as an alternative to vice.

Decent behavior is important not because it makes one feel better,

but rather because it does not feed the Devil's within.

In the Environmental chamber world, it's very rare that an employee or a leader can land the trifecta of leaving at the top of their game, leaving on their own terms and leaving with a level of acknowledgement and recognition appropriate for their contribution to their colleagues and employer.

When people have left the company Thermotron and had been employed at for just over a few years, they did so in awkward circumstances.

After a turbulent relationship with their new boss, they reach a point where they ask to ‘back me or sack me' and he chose to do neither. Although they chose to resign, they are put in an untenable situation that leave little choice if you are going to be true to your values.

As one of the successful employee's in the company's short history, they had clearly delivered many years of very profitable results for that Therotron employer.







Given the circumstances of their resignation, they were not expecting the company to put on a grand farewell event but even their very modest expectations were not met.

It was an incredibly disappointing way to finish what had been, for 99% of their years of employment, a wonderful experience.

Other laws that come into play, are those enacted by many states that allow employers to speak candidly about former employees during employment background checks with immunity from defamation lawsuits.

Generally, if an employer responsibly tells only the employment-related truth about a former employee within the confines of state law, these days it's not likely to be defamation. The truth is an employer's best defense in a defamation lawsuit.

In many states, former employers are protected from liability for disclosing truthful information about job performance and reasons for termination. For example, if a supervisor truthfully tells a background-check agency that she fired the former employee in question for poor job performance, that's not likely to be defamation, especially if the supervisor has witnesses or documentation to back up her claim.

But, if the supervisor in this example maliciously lies about firing the former employee for stealing from the company, that's an intentionally harmful false statement of fact that's likely to amount to defamation.



The malicious act of firing an employee under the guise of a false statement of fact (such as for retaliatory reasons) can be harmful enough to be defamation per se, before the false statement has been communicated to a third party.

If, instead of filing a defamation lawsuit, you simply want your defamer to stop defaming you (such as during background checks), consider asking a lawyer to write a cease-and-desist letter demanding that your defamer immediately stop or else suffer the legal consequences.

A cease-and-desist letter (C & D letter) is often enough to stop a defamer in his or her tracks (at least one who is not criminally insane), as it's a valid legal instrument against libel or slander that may be used as evidence in court. In fact, should you end up suing your defamer, you might have a stronger court case if you first sent a C & D letter to him or her. Consult a lawyer about that.
